I obviously attended the concert with a bias to enjoy a great time as a long-time fan of Ax and the Hatchetmen. Their most recent album, "AM," has finally placed them at the top of the charts in the United States, although they have experienced stardom in the rock scene in the UK for years. I've recently tried to attend their shows in surrounding areas (Minneapolis, Milwaukee, KC, etc.) and have been extremely disappointed when I couldn't find a way of transportation or the concert sold out. To not only get the chance to see one of my favorite bands in my hometown with my friends, but also at their peak and my favorite venue was alone a 5-star experience. With that all aside, Ax and the Hatchetmen put on a 5-star performance-- high energy, a 'well-knit' setlist that kept a good pace and had a good mix for fans of the new album, and long-time fans with a lot of their best early hits. A concert experience I'll always remember. Stir Concert Cove, a huge thank you for being the best venue around here and bringing in the best shows.
